All of our staff at Broadway and Towerview playschool are police checked and first aid trained.Jude Simms
I became involved in Playschool when my children were little and Mrs Mitchell and Flic were in charge. At first it gave me an opportunity to get back in to the workplace. I then became fascinated by how children learn & develop. So I started attending college, doing the Level 3 Diploma and have now studied Early Years Child development and care to Masters degree level.
Working in my own community and supporting local families is what gives me a buzz. I especially enjoy learning with the children, observing and sharing their discoveries. Playschool is more than a place of child care and education; it is about developing citizens of the future.Ange Taylor
For me Broadway Playschool is a great place to work, with an excellent reputation.
I have always enjoyed working with children since helping at primary school when my son was there.
It's a very rewarding job,to see young children gain confidence, develop skills they need, and be ready for First School.
I could not of asked for a better setting to start out my career in early years, great setting, support from the staff team is truly amazing. seeing the children achieve, enjoy and having FUN, not just a job but I feel honoured to be part of.Jo Bason
I joined Playschool in 2008 as a volunteer. A year later I had the privilege of becoming a permanent member of staff where I was supported by a great team through collage to gain a level 3 Diploma In Pre-School Practice. Since then I have learnt so much from observing and working alongside the children and families I meet, as well as numerous training courses.
I really enjoy seeing children achieve, watching their personalities grow and love to share their learning experiences through play, both inside and outside the setting.
I have worked in childcare for 9 years in the same setting before joining Broadway and Towerview Playschool and currently coming to the end of my 1st year at Worcester University, where I am studying for my Foundation Degree in Learning Support. I felt I needed to develop my learning and experiences further and joining a well established setting I felt Broadway would be a great place to do that.
I enjoy watching children flourish and gain confidence whilst exploring their environment and growing through new experiences they discover. My previous experiences will allow me to engage with the children so I can continue to promote their learning.Amy Bird
I first came to Playschool when I was at High school, as part of my work placement. After school I went to college to do my Level 2 Cache Diploma in Childcare and Education during which I came back to the Playschool to do some more work placements. I enjoy working with children and seeing how they develop.
I love PE and doing lots of sports including running.
The playschool is committee run - parents are very welcome to join the committee or to come along to annual meeting

I was delighted to join the playschool team as Treasurer. Both of my boys attended this playschool from the age of 2, so I have seen firsthand how all the staff encourage the children to explore, develop, learn and become independent ready for the transition to Primary school.I have lived in the village for the past 10 years. Before having my children I worked for HSBC for 19 years and now work from home, book-keeping for our family business. Playschool is a very happy place to be, all of the staff are so welcoming and approachable and I am very pleased to be part of this dedicated team.
